PC Maintenance

PC Maintenance

So you were in a hurry and just wanted to copy some music from your pc to your pendrive, to hear while driving your car on weekend. But alas! Your all new great Windows PC is taking hours to start up. And you are continuously blaming your PC advisor. But it is not just with you. All over the world it is the problem. Windows slows down and become sluggish after a long use, since trash gets collected all over........

Following are the steps to keep your PC all new for years. Like your AC or car needs maintenance, similarly your PC also needs.......

Step 1 - Cleaning

Reason 1

If you use internet regularly then a major reason of slow
down of your PC and internet browser are the temporary
files.

Reason 2

If you have many softwares installed. It can be the
second reason. Many companies supply a dozens
of apps preinstalled  which the user would never
look at.

Reason 3

Startup programs are the third reason for the delay in boot
 process.

Solution

For all the reasons there is a single solution and that is to install app like CCleaner. The app helps in removing unwanted apps with a good uninstaller, manage startup apps , clean registry and much more.

You can Download it here.

Step 2 - Backup

Backup is another very important term in case of PC failure. It is necessary to keep your data safe. It is more good to backup your data on some external storage such as external hard disk. You can do it yourself or windows have inbuilt backup capability.

But if you want a third-party software then a great one is here.

Step 3 - Removing Virus

Oh.... Did I forgot something really big??? Yes. You all are true and that is an anti-virus. For years anti-virus have became a necessary component for windows. There are many great options. But if you are looking for something free and really big then you have two to choose from - Avast and Comodo. They are really big players in case of free antivirus softwares. You can get avast here and comodo from here.

If you are looking for one which is very light then the great MSE is here.

Firewall is also a necessary one but comodo includes a great one in it and the avast also have one but you have to buy it after a trial.

Step 4 - Disk Maintenance

It is also very necessary one. Disk storage, such as your hard drive, fills up with unwanted files over time. Disk cleanup may be performed as regular maintenance to remove these. Files may become fragmented and so slow the performance of the computer. Disk defragmentation may be performed to combine these fragments and so improve performance.

Windows have inbuilt facilities for it but they are very slow and not so good. You can get a good one here.

Step 5 - Update

After all things done. One is still remaining. Updating your PC is very essential. Software packages and operating systems may require regular updates to correct software bugs and address security weaknesses. An automated or semi-automated program such as Windows update may be used for this.

For all Windows Update is the best but when it comes to update all your softwares then the Top 5 are here.

Update not only means to update softwares but updating your drivers is really a important one. And DriverMax is best for it. You can get one free copy here.
